Maintaining good health and preventing catastrophic ailments, particularly those affecting the heart and lungs, requires abstaining from alcohol and tobacco. Smoking lowers oxygen levels, destroys blood vessels, and raises the risk of cancer, heart disease, and stroke. Excessive alcohol use can weaken the heart muscle, cause liver damage, and raise blood pressure. Adopting a healthy lifestyle by abstaining from these detrimental behaviors raises life expectancy, improves mental health, and increases physical fitness. Reducing reliance on alcohol and tobacco in order to create a healthier society requires public awareness, education, and responsible individual decisions.
